Quality Control

Four checkpoints between the orchard and the container, and a batch number that ties every carton back to where it grew.

Inspection process

From selection to cold storage

  1. A grower walking the rows at harvest time

    Selection

Fruit is sourced from organised orchards that follow unified cultivation standards and green crop-protection practices. Only lots harvested at the right maturity and meeting visual quality requirements are accepted for export processing.

  2. Packhouse staff working along the sorting line

    Sorting

Accepted fruit passes through intelligent sorting lines that separate produce by size, colour and defect level. Damaged or non-conforming pieces are removed, ensuring that only uniform, high-quality fruit continues to grading.

  3. Citrus travelling through the grading machine

    Grading

Fruit is graded by size, appearance and quality class to meet export standards and buyer specifications. Additional checks such as firmness and sweetness (Brix) are used where relevant to maintain consistent eating quality.

  4. Packed cartons stacked and ready for cold storage

    Packaging

Graded fruit is packed in clean, export-grade cartons with protective inner trays to reduce bruising. Cartons are labelled with product, grade, size and batch information, then moved into cold storage to preserve freshness until shipment.

Export-grade cartons with protective inner packs, designed to reduce bruising and maintain fruit quality during transport.

Customised branding

Buyer-specific carton designs, labels and barcodes are available, with options for different languages and market requirements.

Cold chain and storage

After packing, cartons are moved into cold storage and handled under temperature-controlled conditions to preserve freshness until shipment.

Traceability

Every carton traces back to its orchard

Our traceability system links each shipment back to its source orchard and packing records. Every lot is assigned a batch number that connects the cartons to harvest date, origin and post-harvest handling data.

This farm-to-shipment tracking allows us to quickly identify the background of any consignment and provide relevant documentation on request. For buyers, this means greater transparency, stronger quality control and simpler compliance with retailer and regulatory requirements.
